3rd Trimester:
As I previously stated, going ahead with the decision to have the cervical cerclage came with many prices. Not working, depending on others to help around the house, to grocery shop, cook, etc. It was a hot mess, but the things I learned about others and most importantly, myself was astonishing! What I learned about the power of the Lord was even more exciting. You see, I began this post about to write about how people made me so mad because I expected more from them during that time. But in my spirit, deep down, I heard: Shanese, you have so much more to be grateful for than to complain to your readers.
We never went without anything we needed. We ate out so much that one of my children complained about it 🤦♀️. I felt bad because I couldn't cook like I wanted to (not that I cooked a lot in the first place; but then I wanted to--because I couldn't). I couldn't be there for my husband (sexually). Yes pregnant people can still do that. That was another sacrifice in connection with the procedure. NO arousals allowed!!! All I got was a peck on the lips, everyday as usual, but nothing else. My husband did reassure me every step of the way though. He constantly told me that he understood that I couldn't be in the kitchen and do things that I did before. He told me soon it would be over, but I needed to chill out and stay calm 🤦♀️. But to me this was some serious stuff. 46 and pregnant...a mood. 46 and pregnant, online schooling (K12)...a mood. 46 and pregnant, online schooling, online grocery shopping, pick-up and to-go dinner meals...a mood. Unofficial social distancing, that was a mood all the way until I actually gave birth (October 16). A mood, a mood, a mood, lol.
It seems like I'm still in that mood so to speak today with everything going on. Now I'm officially social distancing 🙄and I hope you are too! If you haven't been in prayer for your family, your community, your city, your state, the government, the country, or even the world, begin today. We are in desperate need of the body of Christ to band together in the unity of prayer. As Pastor John Tracy says...nothing happens unless you pray! Never cease to pray! 1 Thessalonians 5:15-18
